“You’ve decided it’s finally time you started wearing clean clothes again. You tear a corner off the packet of detergent a wee bit too aggressively and in the next few moments your clothes are drowning in suds. All you can see are soap bubbles, spilling out onto the floor. Soon you’re drowing in nimbu-scented froth.”

Twister is a detergent packaging concept that allows the user to dispense a measured amount of powder using a simple twisting motion. It uses minimal moving parts to keep packaging costs to a minimum and is conceptualised to be manufactured from PLA based plastics so as to be biodegradable long term.

45%

of people interviewed said that they often lost their spoon/scoop inside a box/packet

60%

of people interviewed said that keeping packets sealed was an issue

80%

of people said they faced problems like clumping due to moisture seepage

Results of a survey responded to by around 150 people to assess current problems with detergent
packaging.
